He gets most of his inspiration from traveling, nature, life experiences, and other artists. His interest in the study of the old masters such as, Rembrandt, Saroya, Caravaggio, William Adolphe Bouguereau, and John Singer Sargent to name just a few, have greatly influenced his work.
Allen views his current work and future work as a constant and relentless pursuit of the breathtaking. His interest in painting and creating beautiful and high-quality works of art is his passion and commitment. For the future, studies in portrait painting and capturing the human form will undoubtedly push his abilities to a new level of skill and technique. Portrait works can be some of the most difficult and challenging pursuits for the oil painter, and often is a life long goal of the perfectionist painter.
